As an IT Ops Engineer & Team Leader, you will lead the IT Operations function at Efigence – owning the strategy, budget, and day-to-day delivery of IT services across the organization. You will manage a team of IT support specialists, drive security and compliance of the infrastructure and ensure fast, effective resolution of IT issues. Combining hands-on technical expertise with leadership and budget ownership, you will shape how IT Operations supports both on-site and remote employees – developers, designers and business teams alike.Â
What you will do:
Leading IT Operations Function
ð¹Lead and manage the IT Operations team of max 2 members, setting priorities and ensuring effective day-to-day performanceÂ
ð¹Prepare and control budgets for software licenses, hardware, and other IT expensesÂ
ð¹Take ownership of security and compliance of the IT infrastructure â keeping our setup aligned with ISO 27001, GDPR, and emerging EU regulations like DORA and NIS2, working alongside our compliance and security colleaguesÂ
ð¹Take ownership of effective and rapid response to ongoing IT issues across the organizationÂ
ð¹Co-create the strategy for IT Operations and related processes, and drive its executionÂ
ð¹Help shape how the team uses AI day-to-day â co-create internal guidelines for safe AI use, support adoption of AI tools, and look for opportunities to automate routine IT operations workÂ
IT Operations & Infrastructure
ð¹Prepare and configure workstations for new and existing employees â including hardware selection advisory, procurement coordination, and setup in line with company standardsÂ
ð¹Resolve day-to-day IT issues reported through the ticketing system, ensuring timely and effective resolutionÂ
ð¹Advise on IT hardware selection and configuration; manage procurement of IT equipmentÂ
ð¹Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets (hardware and software licenses)Â
Systems & Platform Management
ð¹Provide support across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
ð¹Manage configuration orchestration using Puppet
ð¹Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, preferably Mosyle
ð¹Manage and administer Microsoft 365 environment
Collaboration & Delivery
ð¹Work closely with the system administration team to align on infrastructure and operational priorities
ð¹Execute IT operations and helpdesk projects as assigned by the company
The profile we are seeking:
â 3+ years of experience in IT operations, helpdesk, or infrastructure support roles
â Proven experience leading or coordinating an IT support team
â Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
â Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
â Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Puppet preferred)
â Experience with MDM solutions (Mosyle preferred)
â Familiarity with IT asset and license management processes
â Experience with VPN solutions and hardware security keys (e.g., YubiKey)
â Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware and software
â Ability to manage vendor relationships and evaluate contractor performance
â Excellent organizational skills with attention to cost control and documentation
â Strong communication skills – comfortable supporting both technical and non-technical users
â Familiarity with ISO 27001 â youâve worked in environments where it applied and can comfortably support audits, controls, and documentation (you donât need to be a certified expert)Â
â Working understanding of GDPR in the IT context â you can handle day-to-day topics like access management, data retention, and incident handling, and know when to involve our DPOÂ
â Youâre not new to AI tools at work â you already use them in your own workflow and are open to helping the team adopt them thoughtfullyÂ
â English – B2+ (technical documentation, communication with international teams)
â Polish – B2+ (daily communication)
â Hybrid work model – regular presence in our Warsaw office required
Nice to have:
â Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Management, Freshdesk or similar)
â Familiarity with IT security best practices and endpoint protection
â Experience in a digital agency, software house, or consulting environment
â Knowledge of network infrastructure basics (DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
â ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent knowledge
â Some awareness of DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) â enough to follow internal conversations about ICT risk, third-party dependencies, and incident reportingÂ
â Some awareness of NIS2 / Polish KSC â enough to understand how it shapes our obligations and what it means for IT OperationsÂ
â Comfort with automating routine IT operations work beyond configuration management â scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python), workflow automation tools (Power Automate, n8n), runbooks or similarÂ
